Fractional / Advisory

More than two years helping MìLà get more from Shopify.

Shawn Moreau has worked with MìLà for more than two years as a Shopify Platform Advisor — an ongoing advisory relationship rather than a project engagement.

The work spans eCommerce strategy, Shopify Plus, platform optimization, application implementation, analytics and dashboard work, complex promotions and BFCM support.

Not every valuable relationship starts with a rebuild

Mature brands usually aren't missing the obvious things. They already have internal teams, agency partners, a technology stack, established processes and a set of priorities they've argued about more than once.

What they sometimes don't have is someone who knows the platform deeply enough to help evaluate decisions before they're made — and who has no incentive to recommend a build.

What an advisory relationship actually covers

The work isn't a fixed scope. It changes with what the business is trying to do that quarter, and it usually looks less like production and more like judgment applied quickly, in context, by someone who already knows the store.

Why continuity matters

An advisor who has watched a store evolve for two years doesn't need to be briefed. They know which app was installed for which reason, which promotion mechanic broke last November, and which parts of the theme should be left alone.

That context is the difference between an opinion and useful advice — and it's the same reason complex promotional periods like BFCM tend to go better the second and third time around.

Knowing a platform deeply enough to help a brand make better decisions about it over time.

Need experienced Shopify guidance?

If you have a team and a platform already, the useful question usually isn't what to build — it's which decision to get right next.
